OBEYING THE VOICE OF YHVH

    Dear Mishpochah (family):

What does it mean to obey the voice of YHVH?

OBEYING HIS VOICE = FOLLOWING TORAH

KJV Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will OBEY my VOICE indeed, and
KEEP my COVENANT, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above
all people: for all the earth is mine:

OBEY MY VOICE = OBEY MESSIAH

KJV 1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for
they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock
was Christ.

Here we are told that MESSIAH was with His people in the
wilderness.

However in the Torah, the Messiah is called the "angel" (malak
in Hebrew which means 'a messenger') of YHVH.

KJV Exodus 23:20 Behold, I send an ANGEL before thee, to keep thee in
the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

KJV Exodus 23:21 Beware of him, and OBEY HIS VOICE, provoke him not;
for he will not pardon your transgressions: for MY NAME is IN HIM.

The NAME of YHVH is IN this "malak / messenger".

KJV John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

OBEYING MY VOICE = KEEPING TORAH = FOLLOWING THE COMMANDMENTS

KJV Deuteronomy 13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear
him, and KEEP his COMMANDMENTS, and OBEY his VOICE, and ye shall serve
him, and cleave unto him.

KJV Deuteronomy 27:10 Thou shalt therefore OBEY the VIOCE of the LORD
thy God, and DO his COMMANDMENTS and his statutes, which I command
thee this day.

KJV Deuteronomy 30:2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt
OBEY his VOICE according to all that I COMMAND thee THIS DAY, thou and
thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

Obeying His Voice = Following what He commanded that day (at Mount Sinai)

KJV Jeremiah 7:23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, OBEY MY
VOICE, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye
in all the WAYS that I have COMMANDED YOU, that it may be well unto
you.

KJV Jeremiah 11:4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I
brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace,
saying, OBEY MY VOICE, and do them, according to all which I command
you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:

Brought them forth out of the land of Egypt (Mount Sinai) = Obey My Voice

KJV Jeremiah 11:7 For I EARNESTLY PROTESTED unto your fathers in the
day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this
day, rising early and protesting, saying, OBEY MY VOICE.

YHVH PLEADED = OBEY MY VOICE = FOLLOW TORAH

NOT OBEYING MY VOICE = NOT FOLLOWING TORAH

KJV Deuteronomy 28:62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye
were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest NOT
OBEY the VOICE of the LORD thy God.

KJV Daniel 9:11 Yea, all Israel have TRANSGRESSED THY TORAH, even by
departing, that they might NOT OBEY THY VOICE; therefore the curse is
poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the
servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

THE SHEEP HEAR THE VOICE OF THE SHEPHERD

The SHEEP is the nation of Israel.

KJV Ezekiel 34:31 And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men,
and I am your God, saith the Lord GOD.

KJV Ezekiel 34:11 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will
both search my sheep, and seek them out.

                   MESSIAH IS THE GOOD SHEPHERD

KJV John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known
of mine.

THE VOICE OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD = FOLLOW TORAH

KJV John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they
follow me:

HEAR MY VOICE = FOLLOW TORAH

KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS = FOLLOW TORAH

KJV Exodus 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me,
and keep my commandments.

KJV John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

VOICE OF A STRANGER = NOT FOLLOW TORAH

KJV John 10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee
    from
him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

The voice of a "stranger" says to NOT follow Torah.

          CONCLUSION:

Obeying the voice of YHVH = Following Torah
         Obeying Messiah = Following Torah

May YHVH continue to bless you in your studies.
